Job Description

The role:

To achieve continuous profitable sales growth through the achievement of VOH (vehicles on hire) & revenue from new business sales opportunities and existing customer accounts

Key accountabilities:  

  • To get vehicles on hire (in line with target), within set parameters, through solution selling to potential B2B customers, achieving the best result for both the customer and Northgate
  • To be responsible for achieving predetermined monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets in line with the Northgate price book
  • Develop a robust pipeline of prospects to deliver growth of the business by identifying targeted SME's across industry sectors
  • To negotiate contracts and service level agreement (SLAs) with new customers within agreed parameters
  • Follow appropriate account opening process to ensure smooth integration for the customer

Account Retention

  • Manage and influence existing B2B customers, hitting retention targets and reducing client churn
  • To proactively provide each customer with the appropriate management information as required in order to win/develop the account.
  • To establish close working relationships with relevant members of Northgate to enable delivery of customer requirements effectively

CRM

  • To report results and complete Business Reviews within agreed customer contact frequency
  • Ensure the necessary activity, in line with the business requirements, is achieved - prospecting, follow-ups etc.
  • To provide regular updates and forecasts to the Senior Management Team
  • Effective use of the CRM tool to ensure all customer management information is up-to-date
  • Effective diary and time management

Targets

  • Vehicles on Hire (VOH) monthly, quarterly and annual target
  • Revenue generation 
  • Rate adherence to Northgate Price book
  • NPS across client base

Previous experience

  • Good general education {with minimum qualification of grade A-C GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths is required}
  • Proven record of exceeding targets (desirable)
  • Previous experience of new business generation and account retention  (desirable)
  • Experience of selling within a B2B environment to SME market  (desirable)
  • Proven ability and experience in solution selling  (desirable)
  • An ability to identify and resolve issues  (desirable)
